  The end of the season may have been the excuse, but the wait staff was horrible. Our waitress never introduced herself but we overheard someone else say "Clara". She was rude and acted as though she had no time for our table; funny when the establishment has but only 10 tables (guess). She told us "no" and "isn't possible" when asking about gluten-free options for someone alergic to guten. We witnessed her tell another guest to "move it, now or never buddy" when someone was trying to go to the bathroom. Served fish and chips with no condiments. When asked about them, she disappeared to never return until dropping the check off.
  No tip and no future business from our family. Thanks for ruining a perfectly good evening; please look into another profession because this does not suit you. To management, clean up your customer service.

  My husband and I came here for my birthday celebration dinner one of the nights that we stayed on Mackinac Island. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly, we were seated immediately in a quiet part of the restaurant and were very impressed by their diverse menu. The decor in the restaurant is just spot-on for the time period, very warm and inviting.
  
  My husband had the club sandwich and I had the pork belly Mac and Cheese (both were amazing!). We ordered the apple carrot cake for dessert which was just delectable! During our entire week-long visit to the Upper Peninsula, this was the ONLY place that did anything special for my birthday. Very clean and professional atmosphere!

  Our experience was lovely. The atmosphere was beautiful, food was delicious. My only suggestion is that they have more vegetarian options. Taylor was our server and she was a gem! Great service, even chatted with us about working on the island. Thank you, Taylor!
